Edit: To report an issue please use the Github issues of the plugin. Thank you all for feedbacks and feature requests. It feels great! :)
A few days back, Ankit told me about a plugin idea. To integrate Facebook and WordPress comments. I was harboring the idea for quite sometime before that and finally he started writing the plugin. He released the plugin’s first few betas. During last weekend I cleaned it up a little and this week we are releasing its first stable version on the WordPress plugin repository. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-fb-comments/
Enjoy commenting and keep looking as I am planning to release another new plugin to provide deeper integration of WordPress and facebook using ‘post-format’.
If you have any problems with the plugin, comment below. We’ll try to fix it in the future versions.
Read the release article here : Wp-Fb Comments -The next generation Wp-Fb integration
it’s installed, but it’s not showing up on my site. I have the API key and everything. Just missing the “FB Admin Page token” — not sure why it sisn’t come through. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
OK,… figured out the Page token thing,.. not I have one,.. greenlight from WP side.
But I had a friend posta comment on my site to see if it posts to the facebook page (www.facebook.com/pendolamama)
it didn’t post. PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks!
Aika
the id of the page can be found at http://graph.facebook.com/pendolamama
if I try to put the text and embedding a YouTube video into WordPress, the video preview doesn’t work inside facebook
I’ll add that to the issues
Once I publish to facebook fan page it doesn’t publish the og tags.. instead it pulls the html. The first thing I add to any post is a image with caption.
Sorry for the late reply. I was off to college for the week. We have made the changes in the developer version for this and it’ll come up with the next release. Thank you for being so patient!
Also for adding various issues on the plugin in future, please visit https://github.com/ankitagarwal/wp-fb-comments/issues and add an issue there. We try to keep up with all input channels and thats where we keep all development plans and issues. ;-)
